- Canonical URL
- The URL you're telling search engines is the authoritative version of a page, used when the same or similar content is reachable at more than one address.
- Meta description
- The short summary shown under a page's title in search results. It doesn't directly affect rankings but strongly affects click-through rate.
- Noindex
- A directive telling search engines not to include a page in their index, while still allowing them to crawl it (unless combined with a crawl block).
- Open Graph
- A set of meta tags (originally from Facebook) that control how a page's title, description, and image appear when shared on social platforms.
- Rich result
- An enhanced search result — stars, FAQs, product prices — made possible by valid structured data (schema) on the page.
- Schema / structured data
- Machine-readable markup (usually JSON-LD) describing what's on a page — an article, a product, a local business — in a vocabulary search engines understand.
- Sitemap
- A machine-readable list of a site's URLs, submitted to or discovered by search engines to help them find and prioritize content to crawl.
- SERP
- Search Engine Results Page — the page of results a search engine shows for a query.
