Image SEO

Alt text coverage checks, image sitemap entries, and file-naming guidance for every image you upload.

Images are one of the most common SEO gaps: missing alt text, unoptimized file names, and images left out of sitemaps entirely. Image SEO checks all three.

What it checks

  • Alt text coverage on images within a post, counted as part of the on-page SEO checklist
  • Descriptive, keyword-relevant file naming guidance before upload
  • Inclusion of images in the relevant XML sitemap entries so they're eligible for Google Images

Note

Alt text should describe the image for someone who can't see it — not repeat your focus keyphrase verbatim on every image.
