404 monitor
Logs real 404 hits on your site and lets you convert any of them into a redirect in one click.
3 min read
The 404 monitor logs requests that hit a real 404 on your site — not simulated ones — so you can see exactly which broken links visitors and crawlers are actually running into.
What's logged
- The requested URL and how many times it's been hit
- The referring URL, when available, so you know where the broken link lives
- First-seen and last-seen timestamps
Fixing a 404
Click a logged entry and choose Convert to redirect to send that URL straight into Redirects with the destination pre-filled in — no need to copy the URL by hand.
Note
A spike of 404s from the same referrer is often a sign an external site is linking to a URL you've since moved or deleted — worth a redirect even if the traffic is small.
