Seofyme Terms of Service

The Free Plugin and Open-Source License

The local Seofyme SEO plugin is free, requires no account, and is released as open-source software under the GNU General Public License v3.0 (GPLv3). Your use of the plugin's source code is additionally governed by the terms of that license. These Terms do not restrict rights the GPLv3 grants you over the plugin's code, but they do govern your use of seofyme.com, the Seofyme Score tool, and Seofyme Cloud.

• Only download Seofyme SEO from seofyme.com, wordpress.org/plugins/seofyme-seo, or the official GitHub repository (github.com/seofyme/wordpress-plugin).
• Seofyme is not responsible for, and disclaims all liability arising from, modified, "nulled", or third-party redistributed copies of the plugin obtained from any other source, including malware or vulnerabilities introduced into such copies.
• You may not redistribute a modified build of the plugin in a way that misrepresents it as the official Seofyme SEO plugin or uses the Seofyme name, logo, or branding without our permission; the GPLv3 governs the code itself but does not grant rights to our trademarks.

Seofyme Cloud Account Creation

• Provide accurate, current, and complete information when creating a Seofyme Cloud account.
• Keep your account information up-to-date.
• Maintain the confidentiality of your account credentials and API keys.
• Be solely responsible for all activity that occurs under your account, including all Generations and Audits requested from it.
• Notify Seofyme immediately if you suspect any unauthorized use of your account.

Eligibility

• You are at least 18 years of age.
• You have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement.
• If creating an account on behalf of an organization, you have the authority to bind the organization to these Terms.

Account Deletion

You may delete your Seofyme Cloud account at any time through your account settings or by contacting our support team. Deleting your Cloud account does not affect the local Seofyme SEO plugin already installed on your WordPress site, which continues to operate under its GPLv3 license and the Local Toolkit definition above.

• Any active Seofyme Cloud subscription will be cancelled and access to hosted Generations and Audits will end.
• Your remaining monthly Quota is forfeited and is not prorated or refunded.
• Loss of access to Cloud-related account data, such as stored generation history and audit reports.
• Seofyme may retain certain data as required by law or for legitimate business purposes, such as fraud prevention or abuse investigation.

Payments and Subscriptions

• Seofyme Cloud subscriptions (Starter, Pro, Agency, and any other published plan) are billed through CacheRocket's billing platform, and you authorize CacheRocket to charge you for recurring payments on Seofyme's behalf.
• You agree to pay all applicable fees for your chosen Seofyme Cloud plan and to provide accurate billing information.
• Your plan's monthly Quota of Generations and Audits governs the maximum Seofyme Cloud usage available to your account; usage beyond your Quota will be blocked or require a plan upgrade until your Quota resets.

Seofyme reserves the right to change pricing or introduce new charges for Seofyme Cloud at any time, with notice provided before changes take effect on your next billing cycle.

Subscription fees are non-refundable, except at Seofyme's discretion under specific circumstances.

Use of Service

• You will use the Service only for lawful purposes.
• You will use the Seofyme Score tool only against URLs and pages you own, manage, or otherwise have the right to analyze.
• You will not use the Service to infringe upon the rights of others, including intellectual property rights.
• You will not attempt to access, tamper with, or disrupt any part of the Service's infrastructure, including Seofyme Cloud.
• You will not attempt to bypass, spoof, or circumvent Seofyme Cloud Quota limits or account restrictions.

The Seofyme Score Tool

The Seofyme Score tool fetches the URL you submit and analyzes its on-page content using Seofyme's own rule-based scoring engine.

• The Seofyme score is Seofyme's own heuristic assessment; it is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or a substitute for Google Search Console, PageSpeed Insights, Lighthouse, or any other third-party tool, and a given score is not a guarantee of search ranking or performance.
• You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to request that a submitted URL be fetched and analyzed; do not use the tool to scrape, harvest, or repeatedly probe third-party websites at a volume or frequency that could disrupt their operation.
• Seofyme may apply reasonable rate limits to the Score tool to maintain Service stability for all users.

BYO AI Keys and Third-Party AI Providers

• If you configure your own third-party AI provider API key (BYO AI Keys) instead of using Seofyme Cloud, requests you make using that key are sent directly from your WordPress installation to that provider and are governed by that provider's own terms of service, pricing, and privacy practices — not by Seofyme.
• Seofyme is not responsible for the availability, accuracy, cost, or output of any third-party AI provider, and does not review or control the content such providers generate.
• You are responsible for keeping your own API keys secure, for any charges your provider bills you directly, and for ensuring your use of that provider complies with its usage policies.
• Content generated through Seofyme Cloud is produced using AI models Seofyme integrates with; as with any AI-generated content, you should review titles, meta descriptions, and audit output before publishing, as Seofyme does not guarantee their accuracy or suitability for your purposes.

Prohibited Conduct

• Use the Service to analyze, scrape, or generate content for any website you do not own or have express permission to manage.
• Engage in any fraudulent or deceptive activities while using the Service, including misrepresenting your identity to create multiple accounts to bypass Quota limits.
• Interfere with, disrupt, or create an undue burden on the Service's servers or networks, including through automated or bulk requests to the Score tool or Seofyme Cloud API.
• Resell, sublicense, or provide Seofyme Cloud access to third parties as a standalone service without our written permission.
• Redistribute a modified copy of the plugin under the Seofyme name or branding, or in a way intended to deceive users about its origin, as described in the Open-Source License section above.
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of Seofyme Cloud's hosted infrastructure (as distinct from the plugin's own GPLv3-licensed code, which may be inspected under that license).

Intellectual Property

The Seofyme SEO plugin's source code is licensed to you under the GPLv3, as described in the Open-Source License section above. All other intellectual property rights in the Service — including the Seofyme name, logo, and trademarks, the seofyme.com website, the Seofyme Score tool, and the Seofyme Cloud hosted infrastructure — are owned by Seofyme or its licensors. No rights are granted to you other than the limited right to use the Service in accordance with these Terms and, where applicable, the GPLv3.

Data Collection and Privacy

Please review our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information in connection with the Service.

Service Availability

Seofyme strives to provide reliable access to the Service, including the Score tool, dashboard, and Seofyme Cloud, but does not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free availability at all times, and the Service may be temporarily unavailable for maintenance, upgrades, or reasons outside our reasonable control. The local Seofyme SEO plugin continues to run on your own WordPress installation independently of the availability of seofyme.com or Seofyme Cloud.

Limitation of Liability

• Seofyme shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including without limitation lost profits, lost data, lost search rankings or traffic, or the cost of substitute services.
• Without limiting the foregoing, Seofyme shall not be liable for damages, costs, or losses arising from third-party AI provider output, third-party AI provider outages, or content generated via BYO AI Keys or Seofyme Cloud, as further described in the BYO AI Keys and Third-Party AI Providers section above.
• Seofyme's total liability for any claim arising out of the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid for Seofyme Cloud in the previous 12 months, or, if you have not paid for Seofyme Cloud, shall not exceed 50 EUR.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Seofyme, its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of: (a) your use of the Service; (b) your use of the Seofyme Score tool against a URL you did not have the right to analyze; (c) content you published based on Seofyme Cloud or BYO AI Key output; or (d) your violation of these Terms.

Termination

• Seofyme reserves the right to terminate or suspend your Seofyme Cloud account and access to the Service at any time, with or without cause.
• Seofyme may immediately suspend or terminate any account without prior notice where it reasonably suspects abuse of the Score tool, Seofyme Cloud, or Quota limits, or fraudulent account creation.
• Upon termination, all rights granted to you under these Terms with respect to Seofyme Cloud will cease immediately; the locally-installed Seofyme SEO plugin will continue to operate under the GPLv3 independently of any Seofyme Cloud account status.

Modifications to the Terms

Seofyme may modify these Terms at any time and will notify users of any significant changes.

Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Netherlands, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles.

Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms, including disputes regarding their existence, validity, or termination, shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent court in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, except where mandatory consumer-protection law grants you the right to bring a claim in your own jurisdiction.
